THENARDIER is the true villain of this show, but also the comic relief. He is amoral and an opportunist. That said, he should also possess a wicked sense of humor. He delights in cheating, robbing, fraud, and blackmail, relishing every aspect of them with glee. He is tough, greedy, brutal, stupid, and crafty and yet irresistible.
THENARDIER est le vrai méchant de cette comédie musicale, mais aussi le relief comique. Il est amoral et opportuniste. Cela dit, il doit également posséder un sens de l'humour méchant. Il aime tricher, voler, frauder et chanter, savourant chaque aspect avec joie. Il est dur, avide, brutal, stupide et rusé et pourtant irrésistible.

We'll firstly give you a folder with all the useful elements for your audition (lyrics of the imposed songs and audition's backing tracks)
Then, you'll be added to a group in which we'll communicate all the practical information concerning your audition (time and place).

Tu seras ensuite ajouté.e à un groupe dans lequel nous communiquerons toutes les informations pratiques concernant les auditions (la date et l'endroit).
SECOND STEP:
prepare your audition!
Here is what we'll ask you to do/ Voici ce qu'on te demande de faire:
1) Sing one song of the character you are interested in. Learn it and try to interpret it as your character would./ Chanter une chanson du personnage qui t'intérresse. Apprends-la et essaye de l'interpréter comme ton personnage le ferait.
For Monsieur Thénardier, we ask you to choose between Master of the house and Dog eats dog. / Pour Monsieur Thénardier, nous te demandons de choisir entre Master of the house et Dog eats dog.
2) If you have a song you really want to show us, you can prepare one! We'll let you sing 30 secs/1 minute of your song./ Si tu as une chanson que tu veux vraiment nous montrer, tu peux en préparer une ! Nous te laisserons chanter 30 secondes/1 minute de cette chanson.
3) We'll also have an "interview" to see your experience and, before anything else, your motivation/ Nous ferons aussi un "entretien pour voir ton expérience et, avant toute chose, ta motivation
